I followed the instructions with 300ml boiled water, it came out soupy. I think 200ml would been better if you like your thai curry to be thick. It tasted alright, but not as good as homemade thai curry. Would been even better if it had chicken meat in it. It was kind of filling. It had some spice in it and it was a good amount. Also $10 is pretty pricey for something that doesn't have meat in it.

I picked one of these up to add to my meals for a backpacking trip through the grand canyon. We spent 3 days down the inner corridor of the canyon with very little water and only a few of these dried meals. The Thai Curry was the only flavor I had from this brand, and I had a few other brands to kind of hedge my bet on which ones would be good. I must say that after trying all of the other brands I will most certainly come back to this one. They have truly figured out how to incorporate the correct texture, flavor, and consistency out of all of the brands I had. There was a slight heat to it... though I wouldn't call it spicy. This would be ideal for anyone looking to back pack while being conscious of their pack weight. Also, I should note that I let it sit for around 30 minutes after adding water while at around 5,000ft elevation and it came out PERFECT and still hot as hell without enclosing it in any kind of thermal insulator like others have suggested. I had to let it sit another 10 minutes before I could go from small bites of hot food to shoveling this into my gullet. Plenty of food for two in there, too!

This is one of the best tasting dehydrated meals I have had, but it isn’t perfect for every scenario.

It's hard to believe the folks producing this product have ever actually tried to make this themselves. Because if they did I believe they would understand why having a powder packet that sticks to the ingredients packed inside is a recipe for getting dried food all over. They might also realize that the powder packet should be easy to open as well, and that they probably shouldn't bury the drying packet in the middle of the mix.

On top of all that, there is the issue that preparing the food as specified on the label, results in a bit of a soupy curry. I presume that is on purpose with the idea that folks will be eating directly from the packet and so need help getting everything out.

Flavor is fair to middling, with a decent curry flavor that isn't too overpowering, even if the peppers in the mix are a bit chewy.
